Low Carb Single Serving Whipped Cream

As a kid I use to think that all whipped cream came from a spray can or you know, that large white tub with a blue and white label that your mother bought a ton of around the holidays.  When I became an adult and started to become a more adventurous home cook, little did I know that a delicious version could be made quickly by hand.  Then once I started a low carb diet it only became better.  Whipped Cream could actually be made without adding sugar to it.  And it's absolutely creamy AND delicious!

Homemade whipped cream is one of those foods that is not only extremely easy to make from scratch, but it takes up so very little time and it's better.  There are 3 ingredients in this recipe.  Next time you go to the store take a look at the prepackaged version.  It's a chemical crap storm.

Yield: 1 Serving

Low Carb Single Serving Whipped Cream

Homemade no sugar added whipped cream

ingredients:

instructions:

  1. Place large metal bowl and beaters from an electric hand mixer into the freezer.  Remove once you are ready to make the Whipped Cream.
  2. Place cold whipped cream into chilled bowl and beat on high until firm peaks hold.
  3. Add vanilla and sweetener and beat for 1 more minute.
  4. Use immediately.

NOTES:

The electric hand mixer that I have linked to in the recipe is my favorite because it includes a wisk type beater that is perfect for making homemade whipped cream because it incorporates a lot of air quickly into the cream.
